Environment Canterbury's Timaru Metro bus services are going to make a small change to their routes from next week, Monday September 17, in an effort to cut out lost time on lower Stafford St. The trial is anticipated to run until November 9.

Early in 2007, Metro arrived in Timaru, bringing Metrocard and new super low-floor buses to Timaru bus routes. Standing out in bold green the Metro branded buses are particularly user-friendly for families, parents with pushchairs and prams and people in wheelchairs.
The Metro service has replaced Businfo with Metroinfo which continues to operate from the Timaru i-Site.

BusFinders are being launched in Timaru to help make using a bus easier. The BusFinders are small electronic devices attached to the bus stop pole which provide real time information about when the next bus will arrive at the stop.
