Rural Consultation

Surveys closed 31 July 2009.

As more people choose to enjoy the benefits of living in semi rural communities, the need for good transport links to Christchurch becomes greater. While some people are happy to drive their cars through the growing congestion, more and more people are asking for a bus service to provide hassle free and convenient transport.

Recently residents in the Selwyn District and Governors Bay have asked Environment Canterbury to provide public transport services to their community. To find out whether widespread community support for public transport, residents living in and around the Selwyn District and Governors Bay are being surveyed on whether they'd use a regular bus service to and from Christchurch.

To have your say on public transport in the Selwyn District or in Governors Bay fill in the survey that relates to you most:

Surveys must be completed and returned no later than Friday 31 July 2009 either by freepost or emailed to metroreview@ecan.govt.nz
