Leopard Coachlines is an innovative company with considerable experience in all areas of passenger transport. It has provided the award winning Orbiter service since 1999. Leopard demonstrates its commitment to the environment through action, including use of water recycling bus wash at its depot and trialling alternative fuels such as LPG and biodiesel in its buses.

Independent Petroleum Laboratory

Independent Petroleum Laboratory Limited specialises in the provision of fuels, lube oil and environmental testing services to a wide range of customers throughout New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. IPL operates a fully independent laboratory, utilising the knowledge and experience of over 30 staff.
Biodiesel Oils





Biodiesel Oils diversified from being the largest collector of waste cooking oils in the North Island to manufacturing biodiesel in 1999 (since this time BP has undertaken laboratory testing within the company and together they have conducted various trials). Biodiesel Oils now has a continuous processing plant capable of producing 23 million litres of high quality NZ Standard biodiesel each year.
Petro-Tec Services Ltd





Petro-Tec Services Ltd engineers design and build fuel and related systems for petroleum facilities, industrial plants, farms and domestic use. They install, commission, service and remove fuel systems. Petro-Tec provides cost effective solutions for all petroleum needs and offer a complete service with suitably qualified and trained staff.
CAE Centre for Advanced Engineering


The CAE Centre for Advanced Engineering - (CAE) is an independent research facility based in Christchurch and is funded by grants and sponsorships. CAE's mission is to advance New Zealand's development and well-being through the promotion and use of world-leading practices in engineering and related technologies. CAE has been contracted by Environment Canterbury to collect emissions data and collate the biodiesel trial results.
